Marisue Milligan was always a true Southern Gal. Born on January 8th, 1940 to Joyce and Oliver Bowman in Richmond, Virginia, Marisue played the piano, loved to dance, and enjoyed fast cars. After the birth of her two children, she found herself divorced and living as a single mom, in search of a fresh start.
She made her way from Tennessee to the Pacific Northwest in the early 70s, where her parents had previously relocated. Quickly, she landed a great job with a company named “Western Kraft”, working in their Bag Plant as a receptionist. Marisue eventually moved her way into sales, procurement, and supervisory roles, retiring just shy of 30 years.
While working at the Plant, she met the love of her life, Timothy Milligan, and the two of them married in May of 1975. They went on many adventures; as they grew older together, Marisue watched her own children grow up, and witnessed her grandchildren as they came into the world.
After 37 years of being married to her best friend, Tim passed away unexpectedly in January of 2012. Shortly after, she was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia, and spent the next seven years being loved on and cared for by her children. Finally, at age 79, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in her Beaverton home on the 17th of July, 2019.
Marisue is survived by her children, Ken Morrell and Kelly Wilhelm, her step children, David Milligan and Debbie Valles, as well as a total of 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
