Marsha and her family moved to Tigard, OR when she was 2. While attending Tigard High School she met the love of her life, the very handsome Dan Bozich. In 1969, alongside the support of her mom, while Dan was away in Vietnam, Marsha welcomed their first baby Jeri. After serving in Vietnam, Dan returned home to his family and they purchased their first home and welcomed their baby boy, Dan Jr. in 1971. A few years later, the Bozich’s moved to their 2nd home in Beaverton where they would reside for the next 35 years. In 1977 they welcomed their youngest daughter Holly.
Marsha omitted love. To be loved by Marsha meant you had a level of comfort that was rare. With her faith at the forefront of her being, she left judgment to God and allowed an ornate ability to always lend an ear and a feeling of acceptance. She never would have believed how many ways she gave to others. She was humble and devoted.
Outside of her husband and children, Marsha’s greatest love was her grandchildren, all 21 of them along with her 2 great-grandchildren and one more on the way.
She loved her babies and boy did they love her right back!
After 53 years of marriage, Marsha lost the love of her life, Dan. She leaned heavily on her faith and began to find her wings, impressing her family and friends with new independence. However, in June 2023 almost 1 year after Dan’s passing, Marsha was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and although she fought hard, on November 14, 2023, she lost her battle. It provides peace in knowing she is now in the care of God’s love alongside her “Bozo,” her parents, brother, and many other family and friends.
To say Marsha will be missed is an understatement. The comfort she offered in her welcoming, warm voice in person, on the other end of the phone, her laugh, her consoling words, her care for everyone she loved. She was The Salt of the Earth. Her family thanks you for being in her life, we know you brought her joy and support as she worked through hard challenges in the end.
As our chapter with Marsha comes to an end please remember to carry a piece of her with you on your own journey. Be a lending ear, be kind, be love, and leave judgment of others to God.
