Martha Allison Rook

Martha Rook Died July 17, 2023 at the age of 76 at her home in Bay City, Oregon.

Fern Hough Rook and Charles Wesley Rook III welcomed baby Martha to their family on January 24, 1947, in Grand Forks, ND, where she joined two other siblings. The family lived in Lincoln, NE for a time before moving to Scottsdale, AZ. Martha graduated from Arcadia High School in Phoenix, AZ.

Martha married and became the mother of two daughters, Laura and Kerrie. She spent her career as a medical transcriptionist and was the Director of the Medical Transcription Department at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ. In 2006, she moved to Bay City, OR to escape the heat.

Martha’s passions included antiques, gardening and the great outdoors here in Oregon. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed the company of several dogs throughout her lifetime.

Martha is survived by her sister, Barbara Clausen, of Tigard, OR; her daughters, Laura Goodwin of Bay City, OR and Kerrie Konen Taylor of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
