

Mary Alice Judy went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 10th, 2020 in Hillsboro, Oregon. She was born July 3rd, 1929 in Sioux City Iowa and was thankful to live to be 90 years old. An Oregonian for over fifty years Mary Alice was the oldest of (Paddy) Edward L. & Kathryn Moran. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Timothy Judy, her parents, and her younger brothers Edward L. Moran Jr. & James F. Moran. She was survived by her three children Kathy Murphy, David (Carol) Judy and Monica (Mike) Rucker, Taunya Milligan the sister of her heart, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Her early years were spent growing up in Sioux City, then on To the University of Iowa. She moved to Honolulu with friends. While living and working there she met her future husband Tim Judy who was stationed during the Korean Conflict at Pearl Harbor.
Widowed early Mary Alice met life full steam ahead. She raised her children and lived a busy life filled with friends, travel, and family. She loved camping! The peace and fellowship of the Holy Trinity campouts along with many years of camping with long time special friends at Suttle Lake were highlights for her.
Active in her local parish for many years she went from being a member of the altar society during the beginnings of Vatican II to working on the parish council, ((ultimately creating “Tickles” her liturgical clown character)). She passionately shared her faith using clown ministry. As Tickles and with other Christian clowns, she witnessed to many around the Pacific Northwest. She was among the first to serve as a female Eucharist Minister at Holy Trinity, was part of the movement to take communion in the hand, was a dedicated member of many prayer groups and bible studies. She was an impassioned advocate for many areas of social justice, including AIDS ministry and outreach. She was the first female board member of the Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon.
Mary Alice kept active after retirement by being a dedicated volunteer driver for the American Red Cross and serving as President of the Residents Council at The Springs at Tanasbourne. Not a stranger to traveling she enjoyed cruises, tours and just renting a beach house and chilling with her family and friends.
There will be a Memorial Mass held on Tuesday, July 6th, at 11 AM.
The services will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church
13715 SW Walker road, Beaverton, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts may be sent to Holy Trinity Food Closet.
