Mary “Lorraine” Larsen passed away at home in Beaverton Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018. Lorraine was born in Culbertson, Montana, March 2, 1930 to Adele Valentine and Edward Vincent Fergus. She was the oldest of five children.
Lorraine attended school in Culbertson until the fifth grade then the family moved to Portland. She attended St. Patrick’s Grade School and graduated from Immaculata High School in 1948. After high school, she worked at the First National Bank in Portland.
In 1952, she married Robert Edward Larsen. They had six children. Bob passed away in 1985. She married Veryl Alexander in 1992. They enjoyed traveling to places such as New Zealand, Costa Rica and the Fiji Islands until his death in 1999.
She enjoyed playing golf, swimming, playing tennis, attending the symphony and lately playing bridge and
being home enjoying her yard.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Pam Devlaeminck, of Aloha, Karin Larsen, of Brookings, Don (Karen) Larsen, of Portland, Kay (Mark) Koback, of Portland and Tom Larsen of Las Vegas; her sisters, Therese Baker of Portland and Elizabeth “Connie” Miller of Ahsahka, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Fergus; sister, Marguerite Fergus; son, Matthew Larsen; and granddaughter, Rebecca Wallace.
