Mary Anne loved all her children deeply and would do anything for her grandchildren.
Mary Anne had a love of people all around her. When she was a stay-at-home mom in the mid-sixties, she was a Bluebird/Campfire Girl Leader. The girls would meet once a week when they took the bus to her home. Once she made us all costumes and we put on a play. We made Christmas gifts for under privileged children and delivered them to the local fire station.
She was always kind to her neighbors and made many lifelong friends over the years from those relationships. She used to make cookies for the neighborhood children. For many years over the 4th of July holiday, Mary Anne and husband Bob would host a celebration with their neighbors with food, music, local police and fireman, bouncy houses, and dunk tanks for the kids. Bob was a numismatist and would gather special coins together and give them to the children who answered trivia questions about Oregon history and our nation's Independence Day.
Mary Anne and Bob were always ready to welcome family from out of town and be thoroughly involved in the planning of family reunions for both Robertson’s and Lilly’s families. People always flocked to their home for years to celebrate and create everlasting memories. Mary Anne and Bob were always capturing these memories by taking photos.
As they reached their golden years, they sold their home and moved to retirement living, then assisted living and then Bob passed away. She went to live with her youngest daughter for a while and then moved to memory care. When her oldest daughter retired, Mary Anne came to live with her until she got her angel wings.
She will always be remembered for her beauty, her love of people, and her love of our Lord and Savior.
