She was a Pre-school teacher, a member of First Baptist Church of Beaverton.
Mavis loved to travel, go boating, camping, gardening, painting and above all her family was very important to her.
She married Doug Dickinson in 1953 and he died in 1993; she then married David Nims Nov. 1, 1997.
Survivors include her husband, David; daughter, Sharon (Gilbert) Marlowe; son, Chuck (Dawn) Dickinson, daughter, Dana (Steve) Johnson; stepchildren, Teresa (Henry) Burt and Cheri (Dan) Simms; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; brothers, James Elmer (Toopy) Pope and Michael Douglas Pope. She was preceded in death by Parents William Arthur (Humpy) and Lucille (Wales) Pope, brothers, William Arthur Pope, Jr., and Wayne Pope.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 9th 10-5, Friday, May 10th 10-4, Saturday, May 11th, 9-1, at Pegg, Paxson, & Springer Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 2 pm at First Baptist Church of Beaverton, 5755 SW Erickson Ave., Beaverton, Oregon. Graveside service, Monday, May 13, 2013 at 1 pm at Lewis Clark Memorial Gardens in Lewiston, Idaho.
