Maxine Lucille Pratt

Maxine was born on February 28, 1933, in Waterloo, Oregon, to Norval Stanley Gott and Grace Leona Brownley Gott. She was the oldest of three children and grew up in the Waterloo area, surrounded by family and the simple joys of country life.

On August 26, 1950, Maxine married the love of her life, Donald Pratt. Together they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on love and family.

Maxine found her calling as a nurse's aide, caring for others with tenderness, patience, and compassion. She had a servant's heart and dedicated much of her life to helping those around her.

She enjoyed attending parades and riding the fastest attractions at the carnival in her younger years. Later in life, she loved visiting the Oregon coast, watching the waves, and walking along the beach. She treasured time with family and friends and found joy in life's simple blessings.

Above all, Maxine loved the Lord. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she never missed an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with others, often asking, "Do you know Jesus?" Her kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Family was the center of Maxine's life. She is survived by her five children, Richard Pratt, Sharon (Ken) Grimm, Randy Pratt, Robert (Yvonne) Pratt, and Janet (Rocky) Ellis; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Pratt; her parents; her brother, Vernon Gott; her sister, Judy Nonhoff; and her grandson, Phillip Jason Bradford.

Maxine will be remembered for her gentle heart, steadfast faith, and the love she so freely shared with others. While she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in the promise that she is now at home with the Lord she loved and faithfully served.

A celebration of Maxine's life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Countryside Community Church, 18810 SW Kruger Rd, Sherwood, Oregon. All who knew and loved Maxine are welcome to attend.
