Nancy Jean Weller

Nancy Weller, age 94, of Beaverton, Oregon, passed away on October 2, 2023. She was born on February 16, 1929, in Alameda, California, to her late parents David and Ida Crook. Nancy is survived by her loving daughters Carol, Janet, and Diane.

Nancy was a kind and loving woman who will be remembered for her passion for sewing and her deep faith in Jesus. She enjoyed spending time with others, sharing her love of sewing and her love of Jesus. Nancy had a talent for knitting, crocheting, tatting, and quilting, and she passed on these skills to her daughters.

After graduating from high school, Nancy attended Lux College in San Francisco. It was during this time that she met her future husband, Dick. They would ride the same bus home, with Nancy holding his books while he stood in the crowded bus. Their relationship blossomed, and they started dating in February. They were married in October 1947.

Nancy grew up attending First Baptist Church in Alameda and continued her faith journey by attending a Baptist Church in Beaverton. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found solace and guidance through her religious community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
