Ronald Nels Hanson died October 26th 2017. He was born March 27th 1932 in Portland. He is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia Hanson, his children Vickie Parrish, William Hanson, Robert Hanson, Roger Hanson, Shawn Hanson Butler, Margo Pitts, Lesli Robinson and Kelly Stafford, as well as 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The son of William A. Hanson and Dena "Ruth" Hanson, Ron grew up in the greater Portland area and attended Knappa Svenson High School near Astoria. After high school Ron joined the Air Force and became a fighter pilot serving 20 years in the service of his country. Ron attended the Beaverton Foursquare Church and was a devout follower and teacher of God's word.
