Russell Milton Thompson

Russell was born Nov. 30, 1929, to Alexander and Jesse (Clausen) Thompson in Neche, N.D., where he also attended school. He married Joyce in 1951 where they lived in Oslo, Minn., and Grand Forks, N.D., had four daughters and moved to Beaverton in 1969. He worked as an automotive mechanic for many years and then part-time at Napa Auto Parts in Beaverton until retirement. He was preceded in death by Joyce; his parents; and one brother. He is survived by his daughters, Gayle, Patti, Julie and Tami; sons-in-law; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; friend and nephew, Dennis; four brothers; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 12250 S.W. Fifth St., Beaverton, OR 97005. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Portland. A visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, at Pegg, Paxson and Springer Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
