In Loving Memory of Ruth M. Chapman Feb. 3,1926 - May 22, 2019

Ruth passed away suddenly in St. Vincent Hospital at age 93 years of age. Ruth was the second child of Adler J. Muller and Marie Muller.

They preceded her and siblings Adler, Lillian, Raymond and Richard. She married Floyd Foster and they adopted a girl as an infant and named her Dianne. They lived in many locations wherever his job as a textile engineer took him. Many years in New Jersey and Floral Park, Long Island, N.Y. Ruth was a wonderful homemaker and hostess and had a passion for trying new recipes.

While living in Floral park she took a job as a car sales person at Belmont Ford becoming possibly the first woman in sales. She had no experience but excelled and many weeks beat her male counterparts. Her other passion was oil painting and sold some and proudly had them hanging with family and in her apartment here in Beaverton, OR.

After her divorce from Floyd she moved to Tustin California. There she met her future husband Billy D. Chapman. They shared many happy years together. After his death she moved to Holly Tree Village in Beaverton. There she went to ti che twice a week in her building. She loved to go out for dinner on Sunday or brother Bill would cook and Brother Paul and wife Lois would come and sister Dorothy. Then after dessert we would play cards. Ruth also loved to play Scrabble or as we affectionately called it "Scuabble". She also loved crossword puzzles. Ruth was feisty and had a quick wit like our Mother and Father.

Ruth will be lovingly missed by her remaining Brothers Paul (Lois) and Bill and sister Dorothy and daughter Dianne. Ruth has many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her step-daughters Linda (Dave), and Sandy (Mark) two grandsons two grand daughters and great grand children.

Evening viewing will be Wednesday May 29th at Pegg, Paxson & Springer Funeral Chapel in Beaverton.

A celebration of life will be a Mass at St. Cecilia Catholic church in Beaverton on Thursday May 30th at 11AM.
