Ryan James Fery, age 49, passed away on July 1, 2026, surrounded by his family. Raised in Beaverton, Ryan was a graduate of Jesuit High School and attended the University of Oregon. An independent business owner, he founded and operated Cost Less Blinds, a custom blind installation company built on his hard work and dedication.
Ryan possessed a quiet strength, a sharp sense of humor, and a relaxed, easygoing nature. He carried himself with a rare authenticity and a soulful presence that left an indelible mark on two distinct worlds: the local golf community and the family he treasured above all else.
As an athlete, Ryan was widely regarded as one of the most formidable and gifted amateur golfers in Oregon. His name became synonymous with excellence on the course, where he broke records, claimed prestigious titles, and commanded the genuine admiration of opponents and partners alike. For Ryan, golf was a true calling—a pursuit where his extraordinary focus and raw talent were on full display.
Yet, as impressive as his achievements were on the fairway, nothing compared to the pride he felt in being a father. His son, Shaw, was his entire universe, and Ryan poured his heart into raising him. He was a fiercely loyal companion to his friends, a devoted son, and a loving brother whose presence brought warmth and strength to those around him.
Ryan is survived by his son, Shaw; his parents, Michael and Deborah Fery; his brothers, Michael Fery Jr. and Travis Fery; sister-in-law, Breauna Fery; niece, Reyna; and two nephews, Chace and Connor. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold McCallen, Lois Morton, and Evelyn and Roy "Snapper" Fery.
In lieu of flowers, due to Ryan's sudden and unexpected passing, a memorial fund has been established to help ease the financial burden of his final arrangements and to provide ongoing support for his son, Shaw, as he grows up.
