Sandra Lea Schreifels, 57, of Beaverton, passed away peacefully at her home on September 25th, 2021, ending her brave battle with cancer.
Sandra, or Sandy as her friends knew her, was born in Bend, OR to Lonnie and Carol Adams on June 15th, 1964. She was raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, graduating from Coronado High School in 1982. She had a love for the East Coast that rivaled her love for the mountains, but she found her way back to her true love, Oregon, in 2000. She was a popular cashier at the Rite Aid off SW Scholls Ferry Rd in Tigard, Oregon for the last 12 years of her life. She loved being able to brighten everyone’s day with a smile or by lending them her ear. Sandy was one of the kindest, most thoughtful, incredibly generous people anyone could ever have the pleasure of meeting. She exuded the true meaning of friendship and lived a life so vibrant she practically sparkled.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Charles V. Schreifels, a daughter that she loved hearts, bunches and oodles, Zandra Lynn Carl of Massachusetts, her smart grandson, Zackery Logan Benoit of West Virginia, her daughter from another mother, Tera “The Terror Twin” Lamontagne of Montana, and her wonderful siblings; Linda Adams of Colorado, Sharon Sylvestre of New Hampshire, and William Adams of Colorado, along with four nieces, four nephews, all of whom she cared about deeply.
Sandy was preceded in death by her mother and two nephews.
Sandy was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Psalm 62:1-2 Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
At Sandy’s request, she will be cremated and there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sandy’s name to the American Cancer Society.
