Sharon Lee Parker, born on September 6, 1946, in Salem, Oregon, passed away on July 8, 2023, in Portland, Oregon. She was a loving mother and mother figure to all of the children in her life. Sharon had a free-spirited and optimistic nature, always able to find the bright side in any situation. Her radiant smile and infectious laugh were a testament to her joyful outlook on life. Sharon was a role model to many, known for her selflessness and generosity. She was always giving and asked for nothing in return.
Although Sharon may not have been the best cook, she made up for it by providing spaghetti and pizza to the neighborhood, ensuring that everyone had a place to go and be fed on holidays. She loved to play the piano and had a deep appreciation for music in general.
Sharon's career spanned 20 years as a Foster Parent, where she dedicated herself to providing a nurturing and loving environment for children in need. Her compassion and commitment made a significant impact on the lives of those she cared for.
Sharon is survived by her significant other Doug Meyer her children Angie, Michael, and Aaron; her six grandchildren Josh, Garrett, Cody, Nicole, Blake, and Brayden; her great-grandchildren Stevie, Murphy, Andie, and Grayson, with one more on the way! She is also remembered by her two beloved cats, Mandy and Beans. Sharon was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, LeOra and Clarence Parker, her beloved daughter Tami as well as several siblings.
Sharon Lee Parker will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to inspire and touch the lives of those who were fortunate enough to have been a part of her journey.
