FRANKLIN HOY PERKINS, JR. OAK HILL – Franklin Hoy Perkins, Jr., 63, of Oak Hill, passed away on July 3, 2014 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston. Born June 1, 1951 he was a son of the late Franklin Sr. and Margaret Amburn Perkins. Mr. Perkins was a US Army Veteran during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm and retiring as a US Army National Guard Recruiter. Survivors include his wife, Leora “Dee” Perkins; children, Frank Barron, Shelli Lynch, Trina Blackburn, Teresa Timmerman, Aaron Perkins and Desiree’ Shreve; sister, Sandy Wallace; eleven grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Perkins has requested to be cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date.
