Alice B. King

98, Beech Grove, IN, passed away December 24, 2014. She was born August 23rd 1916 to Benjamin and Mary Oda Hamm in Fleming County, Kentucky. She had 5 siblings, 4 of them preceded her in death; the youngest James Russell Hamm of Georgia survives. She married Arvin L. King in 1935 and he preceded her in death in 1991. She had 4 children, Mary L. Vanet (Gilmore, King), Robert A. King (deceased), Dennie R. King, Donna K. Bennett (King) and her husband Roger Bennett. She had 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a faithful member of the Independent Nazarene Church (Beech Grove) for 53 years. She worked as manager of the Beech Grove Aqua Wash on Main Street for 16 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed here on earth, but heaven is rejoicing because she has reached her Heavenly Home.

Visitation will be Sunday Dec. 28th from 3:00-7:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at the Independent Nazarene Church 5152 Hornet Ave. Beech Grove, IN on Monday Dec. 29th at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery.
