Anna Lynn Bartley

Anna Lynn Gilbert Bartley, age 58, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016. Anna was born in Indianapolis on August 18, 1957 to Mary Imogene Halterman and the late Richard Wayne Gilbert. She grew up on the East side and attended Warren Township schools. In 1975, she met and fell in love with Terry Frederick Bartley. They were married on November 29, 1975. Anna and Terry proudly celebrated their 40th anniversary, just 2 months ago. To this union, Anna was blessed with two sons, Christopher Brady Bartley and Joshua James Bartley. Anna was a loving mother and also a working mother. She proudly served as room mother for both boys during Kindergarten and 1st grades. Anna worked at SuperRX Drug Store for a few years before moving on to work in the HR department for Builders Square for 15 years and as office staff for Canteen Vending for another 15 years. Anna enjoyed listening to music, watching old movies, surfing the internet and spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren, Brady, Nathan, Gabriella, and Avery Bartley, Courtney Bowen and Kevin Knight. She was also looking forward to the birth of her first great grandson, Ívan, due in a few weeks. Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend and will be greatly missed. Anna is survived by her husband, Terry Bartley, sons, Christopher (Kimberly) and Joshua (Tricia) Bartley, grandchildren, Brady (José Rodriguez), Nathan, Gabriella and Avery Bartley, Courtney Bowen and Kevin Knight, her mother, Mary Gilbert, brother Jim (Margaret) Gilbert, sisters, Becky Doty, Julie (Larry) Woods and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Gilbert.
