Carolyn Sue Black passed away on March 19, 2012. Carol was born in Indianapolis to the late Harold and Irene Gill. She was a longtime dedicated employee of SLD-Adidas Group/Reebok. Carol was a graduate of Beech Grove High School.
All a man could ask for, Carol was a loving wife and a meticulous housekeeper. The only promise she couldn’t keep was that we would grow old together. She was a quiet, private person, but enjoyed a good laugh and our ritual Friday night dinner and drinks at Johnny O’s with our great friends!Carol is survived by brothers Richard(Marjorie) and Jerry(Mary Kay) Gill, loving husband Jim, 4 step children, 10 grandchildren, many true friends and her faithful dogs.Carolyn most enjoyed her relationships with her close friends, co-workers and the company of her dogs which remained by her side. Her hobby(besides collecting shoes)was breeding and showing Border Terriers. She was most happy when she had a litter of new puppies to care for and socialize.Several families will enjoy her work for years to come as they live with the Borders she raised. She always kept in touch with them and loved seeing photos and hearing about their adventures.Friends may call on Thursday, March 22, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. in Little and Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the AKC CHF(Border Terrier Club of America Health & Genetics)or the charity of donor’s choice.
