Charlotte K. Masengale

Charlotte was born in Lawrenceville, Illinois, to Lawrence J. and Anna Mary Cunningham on February 15, 1927. She graduated from Bridgeport High School. She married Harry C. Masengale, July 10, 1949, in Lawrenceville but they immediately began their life together in Indianapolis. She was a devout Christian, who led her husband, children, grandchildren, and other according to that faith.

Throughout her life she was actively involved in church, civic organizations and Eastern Star, including serving as Worthy Matron.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Masengale and granddaughter, Krista D. Poer and four of her five brothers. She is survived by daughters, Deborah Poer (James Poer) and Diane Phillips (Timothy Phillips), and son Harry David Masengale along with grandchildren, Jamie, Katie, Brian, Lori, Jennifer, Charlotte, Harry, Matthew, Cassie, David and 12 great grandchildren and one brother, David Cunningham (Karen Cunningham).

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Little and Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove IN 46107, with visitation from 11:00AM – 1:00 PM, service following at 1:00 PM. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society or Indiana Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
