Christine Ann Klene, age 67, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023. Chris was born in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Marcella (Seevers) Klene and Carl Klene. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Karen Lee Klene and brother, Dave Klene. Chris was a graduate of Roncalli High School and attended St. Mark's Catholic Church. She loved IU and the Colts and followed them closely. Chris most loved and was dedicated to her walks. With her tenacious spirit, she kept them up through her battle with cancer and even in the halls of the hospice house. Those who would encounter her on her walks would often become friends as she enjoyed meeting those she came upon. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
Chris is survived by her siblings, Mark Klene (Carolyn Spaulding), Jim Klene (Fran LaRosa), Tom Klene (Randy York), Steve Klene (Mary Williams), and Dan Klene (Heidi Clark); sister-in-law, Mary Barker Klene; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family, and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Chris will be held Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at The Carefree Club House, 1202 Leisure Ln, Greenwood, IN 46142.
Chris will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana with her parents.
