Chris was born in Indianapolis to Bill and Barbara James on April 10, 1964. He went to and graduated from Beech Grove High School in 1982. He worked most of his adult life in the automotive industry in various roles. In his spare time, Chris enjoyed working as a DJ and sharing his love of music with family and friends, a passion that reflected his remarkable ability to pick up nearly any instrument and play it with ease.
Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara James.
Chris is survived by his father Bill James and sister Jennifer (Michael) Scisney, his children Madi (Skyler) Sombke and Carson James, his grandson Carter Sombke, and nephew and niece Elijah and Maliyah Scisney.
Private services for the family will be held at a later date.
