Clyde Vernon Martin, 81, passed away August 4, 2017. He was born February 28, 1936 in Clay Co., Kentucky to the late Ada Burtrom Martin and Daisy Mae (Hammons) Martin Whitaker. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Annas Dean (Likens) Martin. He retired from the US Air Force before working at Wave Tech and becoming a partner in Big Moe’s Trucking. He enjoyed fishing, yard sales, cameras, and cars and collected many fishing poles, cameras, classic cars, and many other things over the years.
He is survived by his daughter, Becky Tackett (Howard Huffman); grandchildren, Morgan Tackett, Sarah Whitaker, and Ashley Tackett; great grandchildren, Kayne and Noah Tackett and David, Kaylee, and Hunter Fulk; 2 sisters; and many extended family members.
Visitation is 4-8 Tuesday, August 8 at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St., Beech Grove, Indiana. His graveside committal service will be 2 pm Wednesday, August 9 at Washington Park East, 10612 E Washington St., Indianapolis, Indiana.
