Delores "Dee" May Koopman, age 89, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022. Dee worked for several years as a hairdresser, and alongside her late husband showing draft horses. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Her passions included cards, traveling, dancing and quilting. She spent her time with friends between Indiana, Michigan, and Florida and put a smile on all faces around her. She was fearless, kind, strong-willed and truly a force to be reckoned with.
Dee is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel Reiser and Roy Pope; sister, Patty Pope; husband, John E. Koopman; daughters, Judy Wright and Gail Koopman; son-in-law, Terry Mobley; and beloved friend, Bob Townsend. She is survived by daughters, Linda Wright, Judy Mobley and Ann (Troy) Brindley; son, Danny (Gretchen) Koopman; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation for Dee will be held Monday, January 17, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Dee will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
