Diane R. Steiner former Executive Director of Jacob’s Home in Indianapolis, died on February 17, 2012 due to complications from diabetes. She was 56 years old. Diane was born in Watseka, IL to the late Raymond P. and Marilyn G.(Sherman)Steiner, but was raised on the family farm in Cissna Park, IL. where she learned to love all animals and as a result, was an avid member of 4-H. She was a graduate of Cissna Park High School, graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.S. degree and earned her Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science from Purdue University. Diane was always known to help others less fortunate than herself. She also enjoyed gardening and her two dogs; Fred and Daisy.Diane is survived by her loving life partner Damon Cloud, her sister Sharon(Ray)Knake, brother; Ray “Butch”(Lois)Steiner, 7 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews.Per Diane’s wishes there will be no services.
