Hazel Pauline Harmon 96, passed away peacefully Oct. 10, 2011 at her home in Beech Grove. She was born in Jackson Co. Indiana to the late Ben and Dora Bergdoll. She was a lifelong dedicated homemaker and member of the First Christian Church of Beech Grove. Hazel is survived by her children Janice (Larry) Harvey, R. Dale Harmon and Jack Harmon; grandchildren Brian and Mike Harvey, Joe Spears, and Brad Harmon; great-grand children Miranda, Michelle, Nathan and Sam; brother Robert (Jean) Bergdoll and cousin Marilyn Malone. She was preceded in death by her husband Merrill “Dud” Harmon who was the Fire Chief for Beech Grove for over 20 years; daughter Doris Spears; sister Ruth Giroud, and brothers Ken and Paul Bergdoll. Visitation will be held Thursday Oct. 13th from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove with funeral services at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Funeral Home.
