She was born in Sacramento, California on February 5, 1939. At the age of 3, she moved with her mother (Rose) and brother (James) to Chicago, Illinois. She continued living in Illinois, attended Chicago City Junior College and taught in the Chicago area before marrying her husband, Robert.
Jeannette and Robert met on a blind date and they shared the same birthday. They were married on October 27, 1962. Robert and Jeannette had three children, and spent most of their married life in Beech Grove, Indiana. Jeannette tutored at Holy Name School, then St. Jude, and then began her own tutoring service until she retired.
Jeannette loved singing and was a member of several church choirs. She also performed with the Indianapolis Senior Citizens. She enjoyed reading and watching classic Hollywood movies. She also loved shopping, especially for dolls. She had a large doll collection which she loved sharing with others.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her mother Rose Graham, brother James Graham, husband Robert Ondrusek, and son in law Edward Schmitt.
Jeannette is survived by her children Therese Schmitt, Donna (Gerald) Rudolf, and Michael (Erin) Ondrusek; and grandson Hayden Galovic.
Visitation for Jeannette will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107. A Funeral Mass will occur Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church, 535 Edgewood Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227. An entombment will occur Friday, March 31, 2023 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
