Jerry Allen McGath, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 26, 2019. Jerry was a member of the Beech Grove Moose Lodge and owned and operated McGath Concrete Construction Corp for 39 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Diana McGath, children; Jeff (Hayley) McGath, Jerilynn (Tony) Lanham and Eric (Nicole) McGath, grandchildren; Nicole (Mike) Cole, Heather (Eric) Cole, Josh Reel, Justin McGath, Kelsey (Wyatt) Seiler, Sam McGath and Maddie McGath and great-grandchildren; Hunter Cole, Cheyenne Cole, Austin Cole, Brady Cole and Ellie Reel. He is also survived by his siblings; John McGath, Norman "Mick" McGath and Janet McGath-Miller.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; Edward and Lois McGath and siblings; Edward "Bud" Affenburg, Tom McGath, Judy McGath-Clark and Sherry Affenburg-Craven.

Visitation will be held at Little and Sons Beech Grove Chapel on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 2:00pm-5:00pm with Funeral Services immediately following at 5:00pm.

We were so sorry to hear that Jerry had passed. I will always remember the snowmobile rides with Jerry during the blizzard of 1978! We will be praying Diana and the family.

Some of my favorite memories with Jerry was on hunting trips out west and at his farm in Orange County. I will always remember the good times we had going out to lunch. Thanks for the good times!

We knew Jerry for several years, we have wonderful memories of Jerry and Diane on the Farm in Hardinsburg.
