Jill Bagosy Wagner, 61, of Indianapolis, passed away July 25, 2026. She was born August 5, 1964 to John Bagosy and Karilyn Ritchie. In her early years, Jill was a self-proclaimed rule follower and developed a deep sense of faith that followed her always. A graduate of Ben Davis High School and Purdue University, eventually finding her professional calling as a Human Resources Instructor.
Life truly began to take shape upon meeting her husband, Todd, through friends and a fondly recalled courtship of boating, skiing, and a first kiss at Connor’s Pub in Broad Ripple. Eventually, leading to a family where Jill’s truest vocation of motherhood could shine. Jill was so much more than the accomplishments in her life. Best exemplified by her traits, family roles, and the titles given by her loved ones. She was calm, patient, kind, intelligent, fashionable, active, witty, supportive, and selfless.
Jill was a photographer, documenter, travel coordinator, tennis mom, devoted wife, sister, listener, equality enthusiast, and warrior. But most of all she was the nucleus of our family, the Head Gift Wrapper, Nonnie, and the Queen.
Jill was the walking embodiment of the Mother Teresa quote, “If you want to change the world, go home and love your family”. She strove to live by those words every day.
A memorial calling will be held Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the Franciscan Room at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 89 North 17th Street, Beech Grove. A Funeral Mass will follow at 2:00 pm.
