Karen was the best sister in-love ever. Right from the start, we bonded, and I love her very much. She made me feel welcome into the family and always filled in the blanks from Kevin's upbringing on the years we missed out together. Her heart was to serve others, still organizing, informing, and helping others. We would spend countless hours talking about our amazing grandkids, nutrition, and even the meaning of life. She loved deeply and loved her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by so many and will continue in our hearts forever. Her devotion to community and family was beautiful and a testimony to many.

Karen is attending the best worship service ever in heaven, and I trust that we will see her again. So it is not goodbye; it is "I will see you later." Love you, Karen, my life was better because I knew you.

I first met Karen when we were high school age teenagers in Beech Grove. I helped Karen learn to drive by letting her drive my car around the empty high school parking lot. She was a natural behind the wheel and took on the quest of her first times behind the wheel with unwavering confidence and a signature bravery. Please, forgive me Don (her father)... but it all went well with no consequence

I will forever remember my little high school chums Karen and Julie. Going to and from school or a concert, drives to Brown County State Park or just around the "Grove" were always just Good Fun. Today, I will picture her beautiful smile and hear her cute little giggles and laughs in my mind.

Time after time Karen was always there and would show up to lend support when the chips were down. I feel so blessed to have met you Karen and l will look forward to seeing you again. I'm lifting up Karen in prayer today and asking for healing, peace, and understanding for her family and friends whom I know she loved with all her heart. Amen.

For anyone who ever met or knew Karen, you already know what a beautiful soul she was, so all the accolades do not need to be repeated. We worked together at Elanco and have fond memories both there and lunches/dinners in the following years with our ladies group. To say she will be missed by her family, her community and all who knew her is truly an understatement. Fly high, Karen. It was a pleasure to have known you. Alma

I met Karen through her mom, Helen. I had done Helen’s hair every week for about 30 years until she passed away. I had really started to get to know Karen when Helen’s memory started to go. We grieved together as Helen’s memory and health deteriorated. But we also laughed when Helen’s humor would come out. Through it all, I was in awe of how much Karen did for so many people. Especially her family. It was very obvious how much she loved her family and being part of their lives and helping in any way she could. She definitely was full of life and love. I am still in shock that she is gone. I would see her at least once a month to cut her hair. I am truly going to miss her. My deepest condolences to the whole entire family. I am so so truly sorry. With Love, Ann
