Karen Sue Sims, age 81, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Karen was born in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of the late Gene and Margaret (Huddleston) Sims. She worked in data entry in Sacino's Menswear in St. Petersburg, Florida. She had lived in Florida for many years before returning to Indianapolis. Preceding her in death were her parents, Gene Sims and Margaret Messer; Sisters, Marcia Jenkins, Sandy Frame, Alicia Lynch and Sybil Allan; and her brother, Chuck Messer.
Karen is survived by her son Michael Kelley and his wife Rebecca; her brother, Gary Messer; granddaughter, Lindsey Spurgeon; great-grandchildren, Joel, Elijah and Kaleb; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Karen's life will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024 with private family time from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St., Beech Grove, Indiana 46107.
