

45, of Beech Grove, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Kris was born December 4, 1964 in Beech Grove to his parents, Frank and Jeanie (Mudd) Ogden. Kris graduated from Decatur Central High School and went on to proudly serve in the Army 82nd Airborne. While working full-time at Indiana Automation as an Electronic Service Engineer, Kris attended IUPUI and earned an Associate of Science degree from Purdue University. He was also very active with Beech Grove athletics coaching basketball, baseball, softball, football, soccer, and wrestling. Also, he was an avid outdoorsman, especially hunting and fishing. As a child, he attended and met his future wife at Garfield Christian Church. He most recently was a member of Indian Creek Christian Church. Kris is survived by his loving wife, Angie (Brooks) Ogden; daughter, Katy Ogden; son, Kristopher Ogden; parents, Frank and Jeanie Ogden; sister, Pam (husband, Ian) Messersmith; brother, Michael Ogden; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Deanna Brooks; grandfather, Garold Brooks; sister-in-law, Andrea Brooks; and nephews and niece, Scott, Brandon, Dylan, Isaac, and Kiersten. Visitation is Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, September 17, 2010 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Little & Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove Chapel, where the funeral will follow at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In loving memory of Kris, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
