I'm so sorry I wasn't aware of Lora's passing. It was a pleasure to have known her, even for just a short part of her life. She was gracious, funny, and I am happy she touched my life. Thinking of Lori today.  In early June of 1975, I was in a car with Lori on our way to Kings Island.  One of the questions that  Lori posed was "What is Life?"  I remember replying,   "What is life, Lori".  She said,  "Life is the little babies." Many of us on 4 tower/PCU got to know Lora when she was our patient years ago when the Lord spared her life after a sudden illness.  I had the priviledge of taking care of her again on PCU a couple of years ago as well.  Loved her smile, her attittude and passion for life.  Probably the smartest nurse I have ever know and she touched so many of us.  Praying for her precious girls and grandchildren during this time of great great loss.  She will be greatly missed by all.   Lynn

Lora Jean........loved you from the first minute I met you in 7th grade!!! I will treasure all the laughs and great memories we shared through the years. Especially, I am so very thankful we were able to spend more time together the past 7 or 8 years. Gretchen, Ilsa, Craig and Beloved Grandbabies, Family and Friends of Lora...May God bless and keep you in your grief and ease your hearts in your loss. I first remember meeting Lora during the frenzy of my Kenny and Katie's wedding year, and she showed such a generous spirit that I thought, "I must keep in touch with this lady!".  When my baby Ken called to let me know that Lora had passed, due to a failure of the heart, I cried. I cried not only for Lora's leaving her Earthly life, but the fact I never kept in touch with her. I pray that we all try harder to follow our hearts...and keep Lora and her family in ours.  Bless Lora's Babies..and their Babies..

Gretchen - I use to work with your mom at St. Francis.  She was one of the brightest, most gifted nurses I have ever had the pleasure of working with.  My heart breaks for you and your family.  I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time!

Gretchen and Ilsa I can't even begin tell you, how sorry I am that Lori is gone. She was so funny, and such a bright person, I'm glad I got to meet her, and you. She will be missed.

I have known Lori for what seems like forever, yet not long enough.  We have been friends since grade school.  She was probably one of the best friends I ever had.  Although we did not see each other very often or even get to talk very often, when we did get together it was like we just picked up where we left off.  Lori was a wonderful person and I truly will miss knowing that she was just a phone call away.  There are so many stories that I could and probably should tell Gretchen and Ilsa about their mom growing up.  Maybe I will get the chance.  Your mom was definitely a woman who was not afraid to step out there.  She was always so much fun.  I will always love her and will get the chance to see her again someday.  Aunt Janita
