82, of Beech Grove, passed away Monday, January 3, 2011. She was born April 8, 1928 in Indianapolis to the late Benjamin and Loretta Hickey. Loretta was a registered nurse and homemaker. She was a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the Guardian Angel Guild, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Loretta is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (William) Elliott and Karen (Richard) Wildey; sons, Kevin (Lori), Kenneth, and Michael Sweeney; sister, Martha Dalton; brothers, Vincent (Dean) and Joseph (Shirley) Hickey; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Sweeney; her devoted “Aunties” that lovingly raised her, Martha, Mary, and Helen; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Sweeney. Visitation is Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Paul Hermitage, 501 N. 17th Ave., Beech Grove, IN 46107, where the Funeral Mass is Friday, January 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Hermitage.
