Margaret was educated at Holy Name School. On September 28, 1946, she married Edward W. Newman at Holy Name in Beech Grove, Indiana. She later married Ron Forrester on April 28, 2001.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Herbert Blatz; her husbands, Edward W. Newman and Ron Forrester; her brother, Leo Blatz; her sisters, Betty Walker and Hilda Benton; her son, Stephen Newman; and her grandson, Brent Kurth.
She is survived by Jeanne (David) O’Donnell, Kenneth Newman, Karen Newman, Peggy (Kenneth) Oberting, and Cindy (Dave) Grenoble; her brothers Jim and Joe Blatz; her sister Marie Reid; and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 7 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Little and Sons Funeral Home: 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove IN 46107.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, October 8 at 11:00 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church: 89 N 17th Ave, Beech Grove, IN 46107. A time to gather will begin at 10:00 AM.
Margaret will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Margaret and Edward Newman Scholarship Endowment Fund.
