Marie Elizabeth Leininger

Marie Elizabeth Leininger, age 96, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Saturday August 4, 2018. Marie was born January 16, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Elizabeth Cruse and Frederick Norman Cruse. Marie and Bill Leininger got married in April of 1947 and were married for 47 years until Bills passing in 1994 . Marie's passion in life was to donate her time while she lived in Kokomo. Marie was an over 40 year volunteer at the Howard Regional Hospital and also a volunteer at the Red Cross. In her spare time she was also an avid bowler and golfer. Marie is survived by; nephew Jack (Sharon) Cruse, nephew Larry (Cheri) Cruse, nephew Greg Cruse, nephew Mark (Nancy) Cruse, nephew Mike Cruse and nephew Tom (Jennifer) Cruse, Niece Denise Bohanan. Mrs. Leininger also leaves behind 24 Great Nieces and Nephews and 14 Great Great Nieces and Nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Bill Earl Leininger; father Frederick Norman Cruse; mother Elizabeth Cruse and step father Lodell Goodbar; brother Fred Cruse; brother Robert Cruse and brother Jack Cruse. A visitation for Marie will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107. A celebration of life will occur Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 7:00 PM, 1301 Main St, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107. An entombment will occur Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana 46902.
