Obituary of Marjorie Ann Hill
Sorrowful Passing of Marjorie Ann (Simpson) Hill 91 of Beech Grove of natural causes on August 30, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Joseph Michael Hill Jr.(2006). Parents Leslie/Jenny Gail (Willsey) Simpson. Siblings Robert, Mary, Russell Simpson. Grandson Kenneth “Cade” Hill (2002). Niece Deborah Kay(Simpson) Blair(2006). Leaving behind to mourn son Thomas Hill, daughter Margaret Hill, son Charlie/Jennifer(Fallowfield) Hill, son Kenneth/Tracy (Centers) Hill. Seven grandchildren, Seth/Bethany Hill, Niles/Ashley Hill, JD/Alyssa Hill, TY Hill, Alysia Hill/Luis, Chaz Hill, Taygan Hill. Including 11 great-grandchildren. Brother James Simpson, sister Shirley (Simpson) Parmerlee. Marjorie was a Beech Grove High School graduate, class of 1947. She was married at Holy Name of Jesus on December 29,1951 to Joseph Michael Hill Jr. She was a parishioner of Holy Name and worked at Holy Name School as a librarian for ten years, including volunteering at Beech Grove Library. Marjorie worked for the city of Beech Grove at the Senior Citizens Center, retiring in 1994. She was a faithful Catholic, Loved GOD and loved going to church. She loved and cherished her family. Loved animals, flowers, music and art. She was passionate about the family genealogy. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her hobbies included drawing, painting, reading and crossword. Marjorie was a loving, happy, patient, generous, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter and person. We all love her so very much and she will truly be missed. GOD Bless her faithful heart!
