

Passed away November 14, 2011 in Indianapolis, IN. Martha was born in Mattoon, IL on December 7, 1921 to William M. and Florence G. (Clark) Morgan. Martha was the last survivor of ten children. She married Gene Leffler on July 15, 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1986. Martha worked for Naval Avionics Plant during World War II while Gene served in the United States Army in the India-Burma Theater. They later lived in Beech Grove raising five boys. She attended Indiana Central College and later did substitute teaching in Marion County. Martha was a member of the Beech Grove United Methodist Church Red Hat’s Society and Craft Club. She later became a member of the Faith United Church of Christ. Martha is survived by her four loving sons, Robert G. Leffler, Donald R. Leffler, Tim A. (Carolyn) Leffler and Ted L. (Carol) Leffler. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Joseph L. Leffler, and one grandson, Jeff M. Leffler. The family would like to thank all of the nurses and staff at the Rosegate American Senior Community and particularly those in Auguste’s Cottage. Friends may call Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Little & Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
