

89, (formerly Margaret Elizabeth) died peacefully at St. Paul Hermitage where she was a resident. She was one of 10 children born in Bristow, IN to Arthur and Pear (Miller) Howe. She entered Monastery Immaculate Conception, Ferdinand, IN, in 1941. She was a founding member of Our Lady of Grace Monastery, Beech Grove, IN. An educator throughout her career, she taught at various schools in the Diocese of Evansville and the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, Sr. Mary Judith received her BA degree from St. Benedict College and her MBA from the University of Notre Dame. She also served her religious community as their Treasurer. Her parents, brothers William, Homer, Ernest and Albert Howe; her sisters Geneva, Verna and Joan Howe, Cordelia Hoefling and Virginia Barnes preceded Sr. Mary Judith in death. Her religious community, several nieces and nephews survive her. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 27th, from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at St. Paul Hermitage and from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Monastery with a wake service at 7:00 PM. Her funeral will be Thursday, February 28th 4:00 PM with visitation from 2:00 PM until the funeral.
