Nancy Ann Bryant

Nancy was born in Indianapolis on February 21, 1950, to Louis Schakel and Dena VanHeyningen. Her biological father passed away when she was just two weeks old. She was later adopted and lovingly raised by her father, Earle VanHeyningen, after her mother remarried.

She graduated from Warren Central High School in 1968, and she attended Indiana Business College, where she received her associate's degree. She later retired from Meijer as acting regional manager. She enjoyed making crafts for her local charities and spending all of her time with her family. Her lineage was very important to her and she devoted a considerable amount of time making sure to capture her family’s history.

Nancy is preceded in death by Louis Schakel, Dena VanHeyningen, Earle VanHeyningen, and Donald Troost.

Nancy is survived by Dena (Wil) Condra, Stephanie (Rob) Molitor, Nathan (Krista) Bryant, Carol Troost, Mary Schakel, Louis (Deborah) Schakel, Anthony Bryant, (Suzette Thomas) , Christian Condra, Savanna (Stephen) Jansen, Colton King, Allison (Chris) Begley, Luke Bryant, Sara Condra, Ella Begley, Ezra Crank-Condra.

A visitation will be 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Friday May 30th, followed by funeral services at 2:00pm. All will be held at Little and Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St, Beech Grove, Indiana, 46107. Nancy will be laid to rest at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, 2980 Fisher Rd. Indianapolis 46239 immediately following her funeral service.
