Hello Aping. Today, nearly a year after your passing I discovered you are no longer with us. I cannot begin to tell you, your family just how painfil finding out this news is at this moment, but I don't have to becuase my pain will never measure up to thiers. Mr and Mrs Aping, thank you for your son. God gave us all a treasure and to those that he touched a wonderful treasure. I can't imagine what life would have been like in Korea without Aping there by my side, taking care of me and the men of our company. Always at the ready, never a step behind. Aping was the glue of our unit and by far the finest solider I have ever met and served under my command. I loved him like a son and although we lost touch over the years, I can't remember too many days going by when I didn't think of him, or told stories about him. Nate, I know you can see all now as you sit with our Lord and Savior in His kingdom. Please know that you are a special person, will always be in my heart and that being your commander was one of the proudest and most privilaged honors in my 24 year military career. May God keep you in his care my friend. MAJ (Ret) Terrence Tyrone Manns. USA.

I'm still here...

August 31, 2013

I'm still here, missing you. Not a day goes by without thinking of you....wishing for you. I keep thinking this is all just a bad dream except I don't awake up. I miss you more than I can express.

July 20, 2013

You visit me in my dreams. I wish I could see you, just once more. I long for your touch. I miss your crooked smile, the way you would nod your head before you laughed, our conversations. I miss your face...

July 6, 2013

I hope you're enjoying your dream, a cabin in Montana...in the middle of no where. You should visit Rio for me, see the big Jesus. Remember that conversation? I do, I remember everything all too well. I miss you NINJA.

June 22, 2013

I dreamt of you the other night. My heart still hurts....I miss you.
