Nina Jean Ward

Nina J. Ward age 90, of Beech Grove, Indiana passed away on June 20, 2020. Nina was born on April 30, 1930 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to the late Olmer and Lillian Williams. She graduated from Southport High School in 1949. She married Lester Paul Ward on July 3, 1953. Nina worked at Ben Franklin in Beech Grove and was a life long member of Shelbyville Road Church of Christ. She was a student of the Bible and raised her children to be Christians. Nina is survived by her children and sister; Melinda Ward, David (Mary) Ward, Beth Ward, Daniel (Rosanne) Ward and Thomas (Karen) Ward; grandchildren, Maggie (Nathan) Moore, Kelly (James) Chamberlin, Samuel Paul Ward, Alec Ward, Drew (Kimberly) Ward and Abby Ward; and great grandchildren, Avery Moore, Eli Moore, Logan Chamberlin, Xayden Ward, Jaxon Ward and sister; Clarice Sparks. Nina is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Lester Paul Ward. A visitation for Nina will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107. Services will be immediately following at 5:00 pm. Burial will take place at Furnace Hill Cemetery in Vernon, Alabama at a later date. A mask is required while visiting the Ward family at the Funeral Home. The funeral service is limited to 50 guests.
