

Norman E. Mann, 81 passed away at Kindred Hospital in Greenwood on September 11, 2010. He was born to the late Edgar and Ruby Mann in 1928 in Beech Grove, IN. He owned and operated Poor Mann’s Tires for many years. He married Jacqueline Dickson his beloved wife of 64 years in 1946. Norman was an unconventional man who enjoyed collecting toys, shooting pool and listening to jazz music. He owned the Happiness Social Club for senior citizens in Beech Grove for several years. “Courage is being scared to death….but saddling up anyway.” Norman loved John Wayne as well as Beech Grove’s own, Steve McQueen. Norman is survived by his daughter Kathryn(husband Richard) Horen, 8 grand children and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Wilma Jeanne Agee. Norman was preceded in death by his wife Jackie and two sons; Steven and Richard Mann.
Friends may call on Tues., Sept. 14, 2010 from 4-8 pm at Little and Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove Chapel. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wed. Sept. 15, 2010 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
