

Omadeen Sargent Stuckey, 98, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on March 19, 2024 in Bloomington, IN. Born on June 30, 1925 in Burns City, Indiana to the late John and Sallie (Williams) Sargent, she was the youngest of nine children. She was a graduate of the Loogootee High School class of 1943. After high school she worked at Crane Naval Ammunition Depot. She met, then married Dayton Stuckey on August 4, 1946. They moved to Indianapolis, found employment and raised a family.
Omadeen loved being a homemaker until her children were grown. She retired from P.R. Mallory in 1982.
Survivors include her daughter Cyndy Nicholson (Terry), Bloomington, four grandchildren, Jyll (Glen) Hopkins, Bloomington, Sallie (Greg) Huette, Valparaiso and Joe (Christina) Nicholson, Bloomington, Emily (Travis) Miller, Indianapolis. Also her daughter-in-law Denise Stuckey of Georgia. She was a proud GG to 8 great grandchildren, and had 40 nieces & nephews. Her husband and her son, Alan Stuckey, predeceased her.
There will be no visitation. Burial will be at Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
