
Preston Mack Ewing, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Nov. 16th. He was born January 1, 1933 and grew up in the Benedict Coal Mining Camp in St. Charles, Virginia and was considered an excellent coal truck driver. In order to provide a better life for his family they moved to Indianapolis in 1964. He retired from Davidson Industries, then worked part time for The Jackson Group. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved dogs, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed working on cars with his sons. He was a hardworking, gentle, kind and moral man. He was an honest and loyal person. He had no enemies. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca L. Ewing, his parents and 5 siblings.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Leila; two sons, Steve (Debbie) Ewing, Marty (Margie) Ewing and daughter Kathy (Ron) Jackson; a grandson, Steven (Patti) and two great grandsons, Noah and Henry and 3 siblings.
He will have a private burial. All are welcome to attend his memorial service on Tuesday, Nov. 21st at 6 p.m. at Living Word Bible Church, 6306 S. Gray Road, Indianapolis.
