

Quilla J. Tabor passed away peacefully on September 28, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was one of thirteen children born in Talladega, Alabama to the late John and Lucille Proctor.Quilla retired from St. Francis Hospital after 21 yrs. of service as a radiologist assistant.Quilla is survived by her two daughters; Dawn Sperring and Susie Patrick, four sisters; Helen Gilbert and Mary James of Talladega, AL, Florence Hobbs and Rachel Price of Beech Grove, IN, three brothers; Paul Proctor of Terre Haute, IN, Frank Proctor of Indianapolis and John Proctor of Talladega, AL.She is also survived by her grand-children; Courtney and Logan Sperring, Cole West, Jason Cline, Donny Patrick and Brandi Craft. Her great-grandchildren; Tiffany and Brandon Tabor, and Julia Patrick.Quilla was preceded in death by her daughter Brigitte Craft and infant daughter Mary Jane Tabor, sisters Sarah McBurnett and Lena McCullough and Dorothy Rives, brothers; Rufus Proctor and Rev. Bill Proctor.
Quilla maintained a positive attitude and outlook in her fight against cancer. She dearly loved her family, most of all her children and grandchildren whom she adored. She will be remembered for her love of gardening and all of the beautiful flowers that she grew every year.
