Robert D. “Bob” Distel, 76, of Beech Grove, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012. He was born January 8, 1936 in Seymour, IN to the late George and Eva Distel. Bob was a veteran of the United States Army and member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church. After 31 years at Indianapolis Office Supply, Bob retired in 1992 as warehouse and shipping manager. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Rose Distel; sons, Alan Distel (wife, Shelly) and Brian Distel (wife, Vanessa); sister, Diane Fouch; grandchildren, Brandan, Bryant, Brandy, Taylor, and Nathan Distel; great grandson, Dawson Robert Staton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, October 29, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Little & Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove Chapel, where the funeral service will be Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beech Grove United Methodist Church Building Fund.
