Ronald Leon Stephens , 82, Beech Grove, IN passed away Friday, August 7, 2026 at Franciscan Hospice House with his loving wife of 60 years Martha by his side. He was born at home in Pine Knot, Kentucky on October 31, 1943 to the late Millard Stephens and Arziona (Moore) Stephens.
Ron graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1963. Ron was a veteran and proudly served his country as a soldier in The Indiana National Guard from 1965 to 1971. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 30 years, retiring in 1998. After retirement he dedicated his time to Stephens Heating & Cooling, the part time company he developed while working full time at Ford. He loved his business and served his clients faithfully until his health declined from the Covid Virus.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Martha, son Jeremy (Kim) Stephens and daughter Kathy (Scott) Minix, grandchildren Natalie Stephens, Benjamin Stephens, Peyton Minix and Sebastian Minix, great-grandsons, Oliver, Karter, Shiloe and Kaizen. He is survived by brother Lindel Ray Stephens and sisters Mary Sue Parker, Fredia Ann Galloway, Ella Edwards, Josephine Harvey, Deborah Vandeventer, and Linda McKane. He is also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews and in-law siblings.
He is preceded in death by His dear granddaughter Paisley Minix, infant great-granddaughter Calliope Minix, His parents, Millard and Arizona Stephens, sisters Ina Stephens,Wanda Adkins, Faye Hunt and brothers Milford Stephens, Denvil Stephens and multiple in-law siblings.
Funeral services will be held at Little & Sons Funeral Home 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, IN 46107 on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Visitation 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 pm. Celebration of Life 12:00 p.m. Entombment at Washington Park East, Colonial Mausoleum 2:00 pm with Military Honor Guard Services.
