Rose J. Neuman

99, of Beech Grove, died peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 1:50 p.m. in St. Paul Hermitage Health Care Center in Beech Grove, IN. She was formerly a resident of Huntingburg, IN. She was born in Jasper, IN on October 21, 1913. She married Henry E. Neuman on September 4, 1937 at St. Mary’s Church, Huntingburg. She was a longtime homemaker and later worked at Gossard in Huntingburg. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 2366. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers. She was very involved in church activities. Henry preceded her in death. Surviving are one son, Father Matthias Neuman, OSB of St. Meinrad Archabbey; two daughters, Elaine (Jon) Trippeer of Pendleton, IN and Nancy (Mark) Bartkowski of Kalamazoo, MI; grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Trippeer, Melissa (Jedd) Krintz and Sakeena Bartkowski; and five great grandchildren. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at St. Paul Hermitage Chapel. A graveside service and burial will follow at 4:30 p.m. in St. Mary’s parish church cemetery in Huntingburg. Friends may call at St. Paul Hermitage from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013 and from 10:00 a.m. until mass on Saturday.
