Sandra K. Pruitt

Sandra was born in Indianapolis to William Earl Dennison and Anna Justina Eisenmenger on March 4, 1948. She attended Wood High School. Sandra married Roy Pruitt Sr. on June 19, 1971 in Tennessee. She was a stay at home mom for more than 15 years, while running an in home day care where she cared for many family members children. When her own children were grown she took a position at the University of Indianapolis in housekeeping. Retiring in 2004, Sandra went back to her true passion of caring for others. She took care of her ailing husband, Roy, and eventually caring for her grandsons.

Sandra was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2839, as well as a longtime member of the Beech Grove American Legion Post 276. Sandra played bingo weekly with her family at the Salvation Army in Fountain Square. She and her husband enjoyed many trips to Tunica, Mississippi to pull the slot machine handles. She will always be remembered for her Easter Sunday egg hunts.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy Pruitt Sr., brothers, William Earl Jr. & John Dennison, sisters, Dorlene Silcox, Rosie Nutgrass, Shirley Eakle, & Sharon Silcox.

Sandra is survived by her children, Carrie (Bob) Wiese, Roy (Angie) Pruitt Jr., sister, Carolyn York, grandsons, Koy (Ellie) Pruitt, Jackson Pruitt, Ryan Wiese & Isaac Wiese, great grandsons, Reece & Rowan Pruitt.
